The 7th
Annual War at the South Jersey Shore National
Folkstyle Wrestling Championships was
held this Easter Friday and Saturday, April 2nd and 3rd, 2010, at
the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ. The morning session for
the younger wrestlers kicks off in the morning and the HS / Intermediate
wrestlers start their first day of wrestling around 1:30 PM.
The
2010 War featured a Youth
Tournament with 50 weight classes spread across 4 age Divisions
AND a
High School Division with 16 weight classes,
for a total of 66 weight classes.
See registration form, page 2, for details and weight classes. The 2009
edition of the War drew 1557 wrestlers from all over the country (15 states). The 2010 War
will again feature expanded wrestling hours, a new mat layout for
additional seating, and SPLIT SESSIONS on both Friday and Saturday
(BAN/MID/JUN AM, INT/HS PM). We will again use the award winning Sikorasoft
tournament software to facilitate more streamlined automation, and continue
with “SAME MAT/WHOLE TOURNAMENT” format in 2010! Electronic bout boards
will be available to follow the tournament live over the Internet!

7th Annual BRUTE/SJWA "War at the South Jersey Shore" National Folk Style Wrestling Championships at the beautiful Wildwood Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ. The 2010 Edition of the National Folkstyle Championships
promises to be bigger and better than the 2009 National Championships event. In 2007 we
saw more than 1500 quality wrestlers descend upon the beaches of Wildwood from all of wrestling's hotbeds north, south and west of the Atlantic Ocean! The War is always held during the extended Easter weekend. Future Easter dates...

Tournament Details and Registration Info: The tournament is a scholastic-style tournament that features a double-elimination wrestle-back to second format (if the third place wrestler did not lose to the second place wrestler in the Semi-Final round, he may challenge the runner-up for second place.
